Teo, the robot of the Krog project.

Teo is the robot of Krog project, and is an implementation of the AIRLab base Triskarino. It has been developed considering needs of kids with autistic disorders. The shape is very simple and made of soft materials. It is possible to easily change facial expressions, implemented in Teo1 as velcro components, and in Teo 2 as magnetic components. The body is made of polystirol micro-spheres, and covered of soft fabric.

The base is made by aluminum structure where motors and batteries are mounted. Wheels and other components are covered by a vacuum formed plastic carter, on which the body is mounted.

The controller of the robot is based on the Arduino board.

The robot mounts distance sensors, touch sensors on the back, a color LED strip on the base, and a set of buttons on the hat. Teo can sense hugs, punches, caresses, and react accodingly with sound, lights, and movements. Being the body soft and neutral, Teo can easily survive most of the treatments.

Teo has been implemented in collaboration with Hoc Lab from DEIB and Phy.Co. Lab from the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano
