Strategic robot patrolling investigates methods for developing efficient strategies for mobile robots that patrol environments in order to prevent intrusions. The research is centered around the idea of modeling a patrolling situation as a strategic game, played by the patroller and the intruder, whose outcome is influenced by the combination of their actions. The analysis of the equilibria of this game returns the optimal patrolling strategy. This research lies at the intersection between agents and robotics.
