Infrared Range Sensors
From AIRWiki
Infrared range sensors are used to measure distance from the sensor. They provide a value that has a non-linear relationship with distance.
They are based on infrared, so they may have problems with high luminosity in the environment and in sunlight.
They are now considered better than sonar in most situations.
They have different ranges.
We use:
- Sharp GP2D120XJ00F from 5 to 30 cm
- Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F from10 to 80 cm
- Sharp GP2Y0A02YK0F from 20 to 150 cm
