Components
Arduino
We used Arduino Mega to control both the sensors and the attuators.
Sensors
We used these sensors to recognize the child's actions:
Attuators
We used these attuators to reproduce the robot's emotions:
Functions
We developed four different functions, correspondent to four emotions:
- Happiness: when the child claps his hands, Mr. Mike reproduces a joyful music, becomes green, and vibrate to the rhythm
- Anger: if the child shakes the robot, it becomes red and angry, vibrating strongly
- Confusion: when the child rolls it, the robot lights the leds of different colors and screams, like it's confused and dazed
- Sleep: when Mr. Mike is lulled, it falls asleep and snores, vibrating softly
